Tele-therapy appointments at both office locations.

Tele-therapy appointments done by phone or computer minimize physical health risk. However there are minimal risks to information privacy.  Dr. Smith uses encrypted tele-therapy platforms meeting HIPAA standards. It is up to each client to ensure the security of their connection; e.g. using a private wifi connection and not a public

Limited in-person therapy appointments in Rockaway Park.  

 

The physical layout of the Rockaway Park office allows Dr. Smith to accommodate in-person therapy appointments safely. There are three windows on two exterior walls providing excellent ventilation, seating providing social distancing, and ongoing UVC air sanitization.

Informed Consent & Release of Information

 

Dr. Smith is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State and is a member of several professional organizations. She is bound by the laws of the state as well as the Code of Ethics of the American Psychological Society. As such, Dr. Smith reviews with clients an Informed Consent Form, HIPAA practices, and other information as necessary.
